About Us
Who we are and what we do
Highley Creative is run by Tim and Louise Highley who operate out of their bases in Queenstown, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. Over the years we’ve bumped into a few very skilled friends and designers of different sorts who have contributed towards some of those good-looking designs in our portfolio.
On the side we also run a board games company called Highley Rules Games - yes we do like to use our last name a lot! Stay posted for our new board game Scooped! to be launched April, 2011.
Who we are
An Englishman, as well as a Kiwi, pseudo-Canadian and a wanna-be Aussie, Tim wandered the globe for many years, before finally settling in Queenstown - due not in small part to a certain lady mentioned below. Here he started his dream of building his own design business working with clients in both New Zealand and Australia. Being a board-game geek as well, he is the brains behind our board game projects Scooped! and Globetrotter (watch this space!).
When he's not perched at his desk plowing through html, css, seo or several other acronyms, Tim plays sport - and lots of it. Soccer, more soccer, ice hockey, badminton, volleyball and tennis. And then there's games, board games, computer games, any games. You'd think he would be good at sport and games on quiz nights but he's rubbish.
Louise is a lady (she actually has the official title) of many talents, not least that of making Tim settle down! With a diploma in Journalism from Maclaey College in Sydney and years of experience working in magazines and newspapers, Louise is the media guru of the company. She is also an insomniac who likes to brainstorm marketing ideas between 2am and 4am in the morning.
Louise has a passion for photography as well as for travel and the outdoors. Nothing makes her happier than wandering through the Fiordland wilderness or stomping through puddles in her gaters.
Having traded in the smooth vodka and arctic winters of Russia for the backyard barbies and arctic winters of Queenstown, Sergey is now our resident video specialist. He has over five years experience in video editing and filming, as well as a very good eye for design. He's currently studying for a New Zealand Diploma in Digital Film and can create all sorts of amazing effects in the blink of an eye (see our videography page for examples).
His favourite things include riding his bike, tramping, his Mac, the colour green and the lucky number five (even though he's never been lucky with it). He was also the mastermind behind Tim and Louise's fantastic wedding video - thanks Sergey!
